This concert will bring together three of the 518's premiere voices: Shannon Tehya, Julia Alsarraf, and Girl Love.
Each songwriter will perform their own original music spanning topics from reclamation of faith to finding your spark to gender in robots. The artists will also "swap song" as they perform a song from each other's catalogues. Tickets and location information coming soon.
Come for a night of earnest storytelling, sweet song exchange, and banter between friends!
A little bit about each songwriter:
From Upstate NY, Shannon Tehya plays groovy pop music for the soul. With an emphasis on chaotic creativity, Tehya weaves fantastical tales of heroism, tragedy, and joy through song.
Julia Alsarraf is a singer-songwriter based in Troy, NY who writes songs across genres about (be)longing, inviting audiences to connect and reflect on our collective and individual journeys through music and mid-set banter.
Girl Love is the solo folk project of Laura Beth Johnson who affirms queer holiness through heartfelt tunes focused on reclamation of self and faith.
